You can subscribe to Max through many providers. Some subscription providers offer plans with monthly or yearly billing.

Plan pricing varies by country. For plan prices, go to max.com.

Here are the Max plans:

Sports Add-On: Watch select sports by adding the Sports Add-On to your base subscription plan (available with the Premium & Sports plan through Apple). Pricing and availability varies by subscription provider. For more info, go to Sports Add-On.

Standard

  • Stream on 2 devices at once
  • Full HD 1080p resolution
  • Up to 30 offline downloads

Premium

  • Stream on 4 devices at once
  • Stream in 4K UHD, Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision, and HDR 10 on select titles
  • Up to 100 offline downloads (limits apply)

Premium & Sports (when purchased through Apple)

  • Stream Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2
  • Stream on 4 devices at once
  • Stream in 4K UHD, Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision, and HDR 10 on select titles
  • Up to 100 offline downloads (limits apply)

Add sports to your plan

Which base plan do I have?

Here's how to find your subscription plan:

  1. In Max, do one of the following:
    • Phone, tablet, or computer: Choose your profile and then Subscription.
    • TV device: Choose the Settings icon cog (lower left) and then Subscription.
      (Only Adult profiles can manage subscriptions.)
  2. Here you'll find your current plan and billing period.

How do I change plans?

Depending on your provider, you may be able to change your subscription plan. Here's how:

  1. In Max, do one of the following:
    • Phone, tablet, or computer: Choose your profile and then Subscription.
    • TV device: Choose the Settings icon cog (lower left) and then Subscription.
      (Only Adult profiles can manage subscriptions.)
  2. Take note of who your subscription is billed through and find them below:
Prime Video Channels
To change plans, cancel your subscription, wait for it to expire, then resubscribe to Max and choose a different plan.
How do I get or remove the Sports Add-On?

To find out how to add or remove the Sports Add-On, go to Manage Sports Add-On.

Apple-billed subscriber? If your subscription is billed through Apple, you can add sports by changing your plan to Premium & Sports. For more info, go to Change an Apple-billed subscription.

'Plan change unavailable' message

If you get this message, try the following:

  • To change your plan, you need to be located in the country where you started your subscription. If you're traveling, wait until you return home to change your subscription plan.
  • Try changing your plan again in a few minutes.
